By accessing or using EstiMate ("the Service"), operated by Orphic Labs ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

EstiMate is an AI-powered professional assistance tool designed to help trade contractors generate project estimates. The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze job descriptions, photographs, and user inputs to produce estimated costs, material lists, and labor projections.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ALL ESTIMATES, ADVICE, AND ANALYSIS PROVIDED BY ESTIMATE ARE AI-GENERATED SUGGESTIONS AND MUST BE INDEPENDENTLY VERIFIED.

  • EstiMate is a professional assistance tool, not a replacement for licensed professional judgment, engineering assessments, or architectural review.
  • All estimates are approximate suggestions based on AI analysis and general industry data. Actual costs may vary significantly based on local conditions, material availability, labor markets, and project-specific factors.
  • You (the contractor) are solely responsible for verifying all quantities, material specifications, pricing, local building code compliance, permit requirements, and safety protocols before using any estimate in a professional capacity.
  • AI-generated advice is informational only and does not constitute professional engineering, architectural, legal, or safety counsel.
  • EstiMate does not provide structural integrity assessments, electrical safety ratings, gas line certifications, or load-bearing calculations. For these, consult the appropriate licensed professional or inspector.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ORPHIC LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Inaccuracies in AI-generated estimates
  • Material, labor, or total cost discrepancies
  • Project delays or failures based on estimate reliance
  • Building code violations or permit issues
  • Property damage or personal injury
  • Financial losses from underestimation or overestimation

5. User Responsibilities

  • You must independently verify all estimates before presenting them to clients or using them for project planning.
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
  • You must not rely solely on EstiMate for safety-critical decisions.
  • You agree not to misrepresent AI-generated content as professional engineering or architectural assessments.

6. Privacy & Data

Photos uploaded to EstiMate are processed for AI analysis and are not stored permanently after your session ends. We strip EXIF metadata (including GPS coordinates) from all uploaded images before processing. Your estimate data is stored securely and is accessible only to your account.

7. Subscription & Billing

Free accounts are limited to 3 text-based estimates per month. Pro subscriptions ($19/month) include unlimited estimates, photo-based analysis, AI chat advisory, and branded PDF exports. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time.
